This page has been tagged for refimprovement since 2008: it was previously nominated in 2016, with minimal participation and no consensus. His notability is limited to having been a guest member of a minor music group, and being engaged to Vanessa Feltz. I'm not convinced that either of these would pass NOTINHERITED, and I cannot find anything else which might demonstrate notability. ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 18:25, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

Already deleted once last month at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deribb, and should be salted this time. This version of the article has eight sources and seven of them have the exact same text, starting with "Fast-rising artiste" and then introducing the song "Where" a few lines later. (The eighth source is behind a paywall.) Every single one of those sources are reprints of the same press release from the singer's management, and no reliable media outlet would reprint from a different outlet while using unsubstantiated puffery. Nothing else can be found on the singer except the usual retail and streaming sites. An obvious and pretty desperate attempt at promotion. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 21:16, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Note - This version of the article may have originated from a previous duplicate article that was called Deribigbe Benson (the singer's birth name), and revamped after the first AfD. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 21:20, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Speedy keep: It's disheartening to see this nomination. She is one of the popular Indie folk singers under Independent record label. Her works are published in reliable sources (for example:Rolling stone). She already made her Bollywood playback singing debut with romantic drama Comedy Couple as a composer. Listeners (including musician like A. R. Rahman) say that such Indie folk creators are more relatable and trendsetting than other popular artists. She definitely meets WP:SINGER and WP:GNG. (Note to admins & reviewers: I was the creator of this article) Nalbarian (talk) 06:25, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

@Nalbarian: Being a singer is not an assertion of notability. They need to satisfy a notability criteria which subject of this article fails to satisfy any relevant criteria. The Rolling stone article contains significant discussion of the subject, but multiple such sources are needed to establish notability.--Umakant Bhalerao (talk) 09:27, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Keep, meets WP:SINGER. She clearly "[h]as been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself." For instance, [1], [2], [3]. Tayi Arajakate Talk 09:00, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Malay Mail is a 123-year-old paper that seems to have a fine reputation. I'm also seeing apparent articles about her (e.g. here) in Harian Metro, though these are in Malay, which I don't speak. Non-notable singer and music producer. The article does not indicate that any of the musical notability criteria are satisfied. The article also does not indicate that general notability is satisfied.

References 1, 4, and 5 are interviews, and so are not secondary coverage. References 2 and 3 are not about the subject but about an ancestor.

If this article were submitted at AFC, it would be declined. It was submitted at AFC, and was declined. The author then insulted the reviewers in edit summaries, but this is a content forum. Creating two copies, one in article space and one in draft space, is sometimes done to game the system to prevent draftification. Robert McClenon (talk) 23:52, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

*Keep As per Notability guidelines. The subject has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, hence the subject is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article.

Significant coverage in this instance includes verified coverage from: The Guardian Newspaper ThisDay Newspaper The Nation Newspaper The Tribune Newspaper among others. "Reliable" means that sources have editorial integrity and hence allow for verifiable evaluation of notability, per the reliable source guideline. These newspapers appear to be reputable, national daily newspapers and on closer inspection are the biggest circulating and authoritative publications in Africa with a combined reach over 200 million people. This is significant coverage. Notability is based on the existence of suitable sources, not on the state of sourcing in an article. One of the independent sources refer to the subject creating a new genre of music. Regardless, notability in this instance is established on the grounds of the existence of suitable sources as above.

The sources address the subject directly and in detail, so that no original research is needed to extract further content.

Furthermore, the subject has verifiably had their work broadcast nationally as per The Guardian Newspaper. The subject has over ten thousand monthly listeners on Spotify. The references are “Independent of the subject" and excludes works produced by the article's subject or someone affiliated with it.

Harmonyfair69 (talk) 01:58, 24 November 2020 (UTC) Blocked. scope_creepTalk 08:17, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Keep

As per wiki criteria for musicians and ensembles the subject as had:

Multiple non-trivial published works(newspaper articles) appearing in sources that are reliable. Notably, The Guardian newspaper, ThisDay Newspapers, Tribune Newspaper and The Nation. These are non-trivial and review the subjects work. They don't appear restricted to release info and there was no mere mention of performance dates or track listing.

The subject of the article [as per s.7 of criteria for musicians] also appears to be a prominent representative of a niche, but notable musical style in Nigeria. Reputable sources objectively referred to it as a new musical genre. This directly feeds into s.3 and s.4 of wiki criteria for composers and lyricist.

There are objective, reliable sources namely: The Guardian Newspaper among others citing that the object has influence, technique and repertory for a particular music genre.

[As per s.11 of wiki criteria for musicians] the subject’s work has been verifiably cited as achieving National Radio and television network airplay in Nigeria

Notability is not subjective, but rather is objective based on reputable independent references or sources, especially for a musician or composer.

Therefore, based on the adherence to the criteria for musical notability as stipulated by Wikipedia guidelines as fulfilled above, the subject is newish but objectively and reasonably passes the musical Notability criterion

Non-notable band GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 18:33, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Industrial band from Detroit. The article originated as a redirect to The Final Cut (band) which has the same unreliable "sources" provided as this one. Then in 2020, the notorious Soul Crusher expanded the article, so now we have two articles on the same non-notable band. This is going to be a double deletion nomination, as I propose that to deletion as well:

The Final Cut (band)

That's the same band, the only difference is the word "The" in front of the name and the fact that the article has been sitting here since 2005, while this version exists since 2020. I don't see why we need two articles on the same band, especially when it's not notable. Anyways, the sourcing is dreadful in both articles - the record label, myspace and a blank Allmusic page, these don't establish any notability. As I see, their albums have been released on notable, major labels which is a sign of notability, of course, but I brought this here due to the sourcing, as the articles does not contain any RS nor did I found any (with the exception of the presented Exclaim link) - just the same old unreliable stuff: databases, WP mirrors, streaming links, youtube videos and blogs. I have found some album reviews but they are featured on blogs, and most of them are short. I have also found trivial news about them reissuing one of their albums, which I do not consider to be reliable. The only reliable source is this: Exclaim Album Review, and that's it. Allmusic has reviewed one of their albums, but it's a really short review, and the biography page of the band itself is blank, which makes it unreliable. The other album reviews I found are featured on blogs, which I have already mentioned. One decent source is a good start, but not enough. So, all in all, I think this is a non-notable band. Comment - The nominator uncovered a bizarre sequence of events. The Final Cut (band) has been sitting around for a long time, and Final Cut (band) (without "The") was a redirect to it until two months ago. But then User:Soul Crusher turned the redirect into an exact copy of the article it used to point to. That cannot be a beginner's mistake because copying from the older article requires knowledge of its existence, but the motivation for the copy/paste exercise is a mystery. At least one of those should be speedy deleted as a duplicate. Also note that the History/Biography section of the older article was almost entirely written in 2006 by User:Cr33py, who is also listed as a member of the band. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 19:53, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Weak Keep (one of the duplicates) - The band just barely passes the notability requirements at WP:NBAND, but my vote is "Weak Keep" because most of their media notice is for one album. Deep Into the Cut was reviewed briefly by AllMusic ([4]) and more extensively by The Quietus ([5]) and The Wire ([6]). The band also has a basic introduction at AllMusic ([7]), though info on the band themselves is sketchy otherwise. In fairness it looks like they have enough for a basic stub article, though the one that remains needs to be pared down significantly to verifiable facts. From album covers it appears that Final Cut (no "The") is the true name of the band; admins can figure out how to preserve the history after the messy redirects and re-creations. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 20:03, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Comment - Oh, I just noticed that Cr33py is a member of the band, and yes, he wrote most of the article. So there is a massive COI involved. As for the sources, the Allmusic bio is brief, but it's okay for a start. The AM album review is really short - I have already mentioned that. The Wire piece is a basic short introduction and an album stream. I don't consider that reliable. The Quietus piece is great, as it reviews the album. So we have two good sources now: The Quietus and Exclaim. GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 10:05, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Delete - I'm an industrial fan! Clearly there are notable people *connected* to this band, but whether the band itself is notable I don't know. This article needs more RS - someone add the RS, if it exists, and I will change my vote. Deathlibrarian (talk) 02:16, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

I'm not incredibly passionate about it, but in my "Weak Keep" vote above, I listed some acceptable sources. If the article survives, I can fix it up later by adding sources and removing junk. Admins should note that the redirect/duplicate situation also needs to be cleared up if one of the articles is kept. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 02:27, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Delete - The article's shamelessly promotional tone had me expecting the worst, but he gets a little closer to notability than I expected. He has some media mentions in Malaysia, but they are clearly softball interviews arranged as publicity exercises, and the Sun Daily is a free tabloid-style paper that is not reliable for purposes of the notability of people it helps promote. Otherwise the article is dependent on sources that are actually about his collaborators, or primary sources consisting of his own streaming and social media entries. Charitably it is too soon for a Wikipedia article. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 19:40, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Tagged as unsourced since 2008, article tries to present the band as more historically important than it really was. They actually have one reliable but brief retrospective mention as an early unknown emo act ([8]), but contemporary coverage is dim except for a very brief listing in a 2002 book on 90s alt-rock ([9]). The article's lengthy Discography section actually shows a fairly small group of songs popping up again and again in re-released demos and compilations. Modern coverage consists of the usual retail and database sites and even those are scarce. Note that searching for this band is tough because there is at least one punk band with the exact same name, a rap group called The Hated Crew, and various others. Short-lived local band that only released one demo album and got very little contemporary coverage. Long after their breakup, they were dimly remembered by a few bloggers (e.g. [10], [11], [12]) and were listed very briefly in a 2002 book on 90s alt-rock ([13]). Released two albums for Hollywood Records, but one was only an EP. Appearead on a Greys Anatomy compliation but was only one of several acts.

Sources are all WP:PRIMARY. Searching back issues of Billboard along with newspapers.com yielded only passing mentions at best. Best I could find was one review from AllMusic. His content did not chart anywhere. The only two hits on Billboard.com are name-drops of him in the context of other artists or labels.

It was previously stated that he is a former member of the unquestionably notable Marshall Dyllon, but I'm having a hard time corroborating this. The claim seems to trace back to a long-defunct songwriter/publisher website added as a source to the Marshall Dyllon page ages ago, which doesn't even mention Marshall Dyllon at all. The insert in Marshall Dyllon's debut album, as transcribed on a long-abandoned Angelfire fan page, does claim that Jesse Littleton is from Sabina, Ohio, while AllMusic does give GBF's real name as "Jesse Littleton" and claim that he is from Sabina, Ohio. However, I'm not sure if a flyer issued as a bonus inside of a CD is a reliable source, especially when the only trace of it is the above transcription. I have found no sources whatsoever that have both "Marshall Dyllon" and "Gran Bel Fisher" in them, and you'd think that if he had been in another band, no matter how briefly, that at least one publicist would have made note of this. For this reason, I don't think that a merge/redirect to Marshall Dyllon would be warranted. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 22:43, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Delete Just another non-notable band. Their ordinary and bland name makes searching difficult, but the few results that are actually about them are not reliable, just blogs / re-published articles about them supporting Veterans or whatever. I am not pleased about the sourcing in the article either. There are three sites cited, one is an album announcement which I don't consider a reliable source since it's both trivial and promotional, the other is the band's own site which is not independent, and the last one is just about them supporting Veterans. They have only one album as of yet, and I couldn't find anything reliable about that either, just spotify and amazon. So this is a non-notable band, it's most certainly WP:TOOSOON for them. Delete in full agreement with nom and Doomsdayer. It's a shame WP is full of so many non-notable Nigerian/Indian/Ghanaian music "stars". There are no reliable sources available for these people. Social media pages, PR pieces (like album/song/concert announcements), videos, lyrics sites, streaming links, retail sites and interviews are not reliable sources. And these are everything I find when I search for these people. Not to mention those who create these pages are often COI/SPA editors, they only edit that one article, then they disappear into thin air. In some cases, said user might have other edits which saves him from the SPA accusation, but most of his edits revolve around the wannabe "star" so the promotion is still obvious. Like this case too. Something none of us noticed before: There was an earlier article for this musician with a slightly different spelling of his name, and it was deleted about six months ago at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NazzKing. Near the top of that older discussion, note how Ramsey555 was recorded as claiming that NazzKing was "my page" with an interest in how it appeared in search results. Ramsey555 was involved in that deletion discussion too, in a more subdued fashion but still claiming discrimination against African musicians. His commentary this time collapses into personal accusations, which we can discuss but it still doesn't make Mr. Nazz any more notable as a musician. Also relevant here is the other stuff exists fallacy. DOOMSDAYER520 | TALK | CONTRIBS 13:53, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

non-notable military person and musician - fails WP:NSOLDIER and WP:NMUSIC. There's no in depth coverage of his career and nothing afaict that would make him notable as a soldier and even less so for his career. This was a DJ/Producer collective with many people, a few of whom became notable in other endeavors later. But as an entity unto itself it generated no significant and reliable media notice that is necessary for notability. The article is dependent on interviews with members Terror Danjah and Bruza, and a couple of those interviews list Reckless Crew once as either guy's early project, and the other interviews do not mention the collective at all. The other sources in the article are minor database and directory listings, and most of those are actually dedicated to some of the members, not to this crew as a whole. More of the same is all that can be found in a search. Longtime leader Terror Danjah has accomplished other things and if he had a WP article, Reckless Crew could be redirected there, but he does not. So deletion is recommended. His work has also been featured in The Fader Here is also a link for his MOBO Awards nomination; MOBO Kinvidia (talk) 00:32, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

Comment — the Fader.com source is an interview hence isn’t independent of the subject thus is of no value to WP:GNG whilst this Modern Ghana source merely name drops him amongst three other artists who were nominated for the award of which he didn’t win, WP:MUSICBIO requires the individual to have been nominated for a prominent award and MOBO awards isn’t that award & Apparently he was dropped from the nominees. Lastly please do not use pulse.com.gh as a reliable source to substantiate anything as they are not a reliable source, an example of their ineptitude is nonsense like this they publish. I have removed all pulse.com.gh sources used in the article as they clearly aren’t a serious or reliable source with reputation for fact checking. Please do not re-add them.Celestina007 (talk) 04:00, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

WP:BLP of a musician, not reliably sourced as having any strong claim to passing WP:NMUSIC. The strongest notability claim here is that he won a minor music award, referenced solely to the award's own self-published website rather than any evidence of media coverage about it -- but NMUSIC #8 requires major awards on the order of Grammys or Brits that get media coverage, not just any random music award that exists. And other than that, the only other sources here are his own self-published content on Deezer and a user-generated PR platform, not the reliable source coverage in real media independent of himself that it takes to pass WP:GNG. Non-notable band GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 17:59, 7 November 2020 (UTC) Swedish band. There are no sources, just external links - the band's website and myspace page which do not provide notability. There is no article about them on the Swedish WP. We don't even know if they are still active or not. Though the first sentence of the article is the following: "Molly was a Swedish band...", but the infobox states "1989-?" so it's unknown if they have split up or not. But it's most likely they did, as they haven't seem to made any waves whatsoever. At least I haven't found anything about them. Their name makes searching difficult, so I looked up their albums. All I found were some retail sites, youtube videos and one album review on a blog. That's it. The rest of the results are the words separately. Have two full albums on a well-known indie label. That should be enough to establish notability. // Liftarn (talk) 15:33, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

@Liftarn: In part, yes. But the sourcing is more important. And that is abysmal, and I couldn't find any reliable sources. GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 16:04, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

OK, feel free to change the tagging to {{refimprove}} then. // Liftarn (talk) 06:59, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

@Liftarn: Okay, but I have not found any reliable sources. If I would just tag it with {{refimprove}}, the article would still sit here without any reliable references. I know that since I have seen a lot of band articles in that state. That's why I brought this band to AfD, to see whether anyone else has found any RS. If there are reliable sources, I just put them in and we're done. Notability is proven. Tagging with {{refimprove}} does not have that much an effect, like I said, I have seen band articles that has been tagged as such for 5-10, maybe 12 years now. And as of now, it hasn't been changed. I can't name you any examples since there are lots of band articles on WP. Okay, I can tell you one. A few months ago I nominated the article of the band Satariel for deletion. It has been tagged with refimprove since 2008. The sourcing was abysmal in that one as well, and I could barely find any RS. But then, thanks to the AfD, notability was finally proven thanks to reliable sources. So that's why I prefer to bring potentially non-notable stuff to Afd instead of just tagging it with refimprove. We can talk about it here whether it's notable or not. I don't necessarily want the article to be deleted, just to talk about whether it's notable or not. Regards, GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 08:54, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

As you can see I have started, but with a band name like that googling is a bit difficult. // Liftarn (talk) 16:56, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

@Liftarn: Yeah, I have mentioned that too. They have a simple name, so searching "molly band" will result in lots of different stuff. That's why I also included the titles of their albums during a search, to specify I am looking for the Swedish band. And all I found the things I already mentioned above. And they are not reliable. Regards, GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 06:22, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

I did find some in SMDB that should be reliable. And a review of Raj Raj from the magazine Terrorpop. // Liftarn (talk) 13:26, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

@Liftarn: I have never heard of any of these magazines. Google search did not return them either. Can you please post them here? GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 13:43, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

SMDB is not a magazine, but a media catalogue at the National Library of Sweden. It's used to show that Molly did indeed got published by Sista bussen and thus are notable according to Wikipedia standards. Terrorpop was a Swedish music magazine in the 90s.[24] Some articles are online at http://www.blaskoteket.se/tidningar/terrorpop/ Others can be bought, [25][26][27] // Liftarn (talk) 14:05, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

They sound reliable (especially the first one). I will take a look. GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 15:36, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

These are just shop links where you can buy this magazine. Can you please post the articles that talk about Molly specifically? Thank you. GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 15:39, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

It's in the article, but http://www.blaskoteket.se/artiklar/terrorpop/nr-03-1994/molly-raj-raj/ // Liftarn (talk) 16:45, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Oh, I have already found this (during a Google search)! That's what I dismissed as an "album review on a blog". I had no idea Terrorpop was a magazine. The name of the magazine, its look and feel, and the style of the review made me think it's a blog or fanzine. GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 18:03, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

No, it was a magazine, but the blog republishes some of the articles. // Liftarn (talk) 11:24, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

And what about SMDB? GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 16:12, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

SMDB (Svensk mediadatabas) is "a search service for the audiovisual collections at the National Library of Sweden (KB). The database contains information about TV, radio, video, movies presented in theaters, CDs, and multimedia.". I considered it a reliable source to show that Molly had their two albums released on an important indie label so they fulfil the requirements of WP:BAND. ("Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable).". // Liftarn (talk) 07:08, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Okay. Although I have never heard of "Sista Bussen", that doesn't count for anything since according to the article they have been around since 1978. There are no reliable sources in that article either, might I add, just the official site of the label. The svwiki article doesn't even contain that. So I must admit I have doubts about that label's notability too. But google might return something, who knows, maybe there are reliable sources about the label. GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 08:19, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia defines an important indie label as "a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable". Sista bussen has been around since 1978 so that's more than a few years and they have published Freddie Wadling, Köttgrottorna, Gudibrallan, Stefan Sundström, Leather Nun and so on so they fulfil the second requirement as well. Btw, it feels like you're moving the goalposts. // Liftarn (talk) 15:34, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

"I am moving the goalposts"? What's that supposed to mean? Sorry, I'm Hungarian, I don't know the meaning of every phrase. GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 08:18, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

Well, first you asked for sources for Molly being notable and when I gave them you switched to asking for sources that Sista bussen is notable. Moving the goalposts // Liftarn (talk) 14:42, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

Keep Notability per Wikipedia guidelines (WP:BAND) established by reliable sources ("Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels"). Sista Bussen is an important indie label according to Wikipedia standards ("label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable"). // Liftarn (talk) 15:50, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

Come on! I don't base an AfD on the reason "I have never heard of it". I'm just saying it but it's not my primary reason! That would be stupid! This band may be popular or known in the underground, but it's not notable for WP! End of story! GhostDestroyer100 (talk) 09:53, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Well, that's the only argument you have left. I have conclusively proven that they are notable per WP:BAND and that you don't like it is is little relevance. // Liftarn (talk) 07:19, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Notability seems uncertain. The Dutch article was deleted, but there was no real discussion about it. (someone proposed deletion and an admin agreed) Here's an interview with the lead singer from a RS, but that doesn't directly help to establish notability for the band. I don't know how big the band is in Asia. One of their songs was featured on an episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, but is that enough? And the Mayson guitar company mascot thing, well, they don't seem to have an article.

@Ritchie333: You previously declined a speedy deletion request because "most bands aren't asked to support U2". I dislike speedy deletion for anything not obviously vandalism/spam/etc, but your argument is invalid. I listened to the source, an interview with the lead singer (in Dutch, which I understand) and Julius did the aftershow. In the interview he is asked whether he will actually meet U2, and he says that as there are 4 shows planned, he figures there may be a moment when they could shake hands. It's not like they were performing together, alas. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 17:06, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

@Atlantic306: Actually no.. Back to the days reached the #7 spot in the Tipparade. This is a list of 30 tracks that are suggested may enter the Top 40 at some point based on sales numbers and the personal preference of various people in a meeting. (it's complicated mkay) As an example, check the current #1 of the actual Top 40: https://www.top40.nl/master-kg-ft-nomcebo/jerusalema-35028. In week 32, it was #24 in the Tipparade. In week 33 it was #1 in the Tipparade. In week 34 the graph turns red: the song reached #27 in the Top 40, which also means it was no longer in the Tipparade. Back to the days never made it into the Top 40. You can also verify this on the artist page where you'll see "Top 40-hits: Geen". — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 15:49, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

WP:GNG-If the producer has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the producer, it is presumed that the producer is suitable for a stand-alone article or list.

Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself.

WP:ANYBIO- The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in a specific field.

And the subject is 'he' not 'she! The very fact that the 'deletion nominator' has presumed the subject to be a female proves how shallow his/her research on the subject is. Despite the following publications readily available clearly stating the gender and contribution of the subject. I am citing English publications only for the benefit for my fellow editors, Nepali publications are numerous too. Unfortunately, there aren't just enough English publications in Nepal nor the Nepali diaspora big enough to sustain such publications in other countries.

The album is produced by Satya Aditya Waiba, her younger brother- Telegraph, India

Navneet and Satya have been working on the album for the past two years with the help of of Kiran Nepali, a sarangi player of the Nepali folk band Kutumba- Telegraph, India

Navneet sings traditional Nepali Folk Songs in collaboration with Nepali Folk Band Kutumba.Satya Waiba, her brother produces and manages her music. The single 'Chuiya Ma Hah' reached number 1 on Kathmandu charts within two weeks of the release of this album- Ok Listen, Navneet Aditya Waiba's official album release site.

For them this is the best way to remember their mother and pay tribute to a folk artiste bar none. Siblings Navneet and Satya Aditya Waiba are readying to release an album Aamalai Shraddanjali in memory of their mother late Hira Devi Waiba, a renowned folk artiste, who passed away on January 19, 2011. It is a compilation of late Hira Devi’s songs sung by daughter Navneet and produced by son Satya, and they were in the Capital to re-record the songs- The Himalayan. @Tabletop123: If I've mistakenly addressed him as her, it does not mean that I have not done the research well. Now lets get back to the point, as I've clearly stated above that the sources cited in the article do not have in-depth significant coverage and the ones you posted above are mere mentions in passing and do not add up to SIGCOV and it fails WP:GNG. He is the son of a famous folk singer. However, notability is not inherited by a relationship to notable people and there should be enough independent, non trivial coverage to have a standalone article.

You stated it meets WP:BIO, could you explain how? All i can see is his elder sister re-recorded an album consisting of seven songs, originally sung by her mother, which the subject has produced and there is some coverage concerning release of the album.

If you believe he's got more coverage in Nepali language newspapers, post them below, and I or someone else will analyze them.--Umakant Bhalerao (talk) 10:27, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Subject has been covered in reliable sources with editorial integrity independent of the subject and has verifiable evidence.

Has received attention from independent sources to support a claim of notability.

Subject’s work is encyclopaedic and knowledge about this subject is useful and it has a realistic potential for expansion.

Mentions of subject is true, verifiable and neutral point of view.

Tabletop123 (talk) 18:57, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

@Tabletop123:, the points above have already been made twice before and making them multiple times does not mean that the editor who closes this discussion will weigh them more heavily. In point of fact, it often results in exactly the opposite effect. The one vital point of notability that you gloss over in the above, however, is significant coverage. Multiple passing mentions are still passing mentions. Every source presented is not about this subject, but about their relatives. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 21:04, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Fair enough in relisting. Having said that there are various and non-partial evidence of the subject and his work being encyclopedic. I would lean towards keep. Remember, Nepal does not have as many media houses, print or otherwise as other more developed or populous countries, nor are Nepali music producers ever covered. It's only always the singer who is covered or written about. The subject would be the first Nepali music producer listed in Wiki if the article is approved and rightly so.--Tabletop123 (talk) 00:39, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

As you have been told before, posting multiple times with bolded !votes is not acceptable behavior in an AfD. Please, for the love of sanity, ready, understand, and follow WP:BLUDGEON. This is coming very close to WP:DISRUPT. Also, at the risk of stating the obvious, this is the English language Wikipedia, not the most important Wikipedia. There is a Nepali-language Wikipedia and a Nepali subject may be better covered there. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 03:24, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

Hey, you are getting a bit personal with your choice of words aren't you? The first time you did it I passed it as a free one.
